This is simply a reference page. There are many terms in the money making world and some of them may be confusing especially acronyms. If you are a veteran to the money making world skip through or maybe there will be something that you forgot. These are my interpretations of the terms and they may change based on new knowledge.
A word or name formed from the components of a longer name or phrase or, an abbreviation formed from initial letters. I am not going to give a big list because we have been familiar with acronyms our whole life. LOL
An Ad Exchange is a website where you view other members Advertisements typically through Emails or banners and in return, they view your Advertisement(s) as well. See the Ad Exchange pages to get more information on how they work.
A marketing arrangement in which in which an online retailer pays commissions to an affiliate to sell their product(s).
Affiliate Marketplace (Networks)
A place typically a website where vendors provide information about the product or products they offer in order for an affiliate to promote their products.Examples include, Clickbank, JVZoo, and Warrior Plus. See the Affiliate Marketplace Page for more details.
An Autoresponder is a website that allows you to send automated emails to people in your email list.
Cost Per Action or Acquisition (CPA)
Allows you to determine the views, leads, or sales you want to measure.
Cost Per Click (CPC)
CPC measures the cost equivalent for each click on your ads. CPC is designed to drive traffic to a website.
A Digital Product is a product which is accessed through the internet with no requirement of any physical item to be transferred. Examples include e-books, video training courses, website memberships, software, etc.
A Downline is basically people you bring in below you. This can include members you’ve recruited as well as those the recruits have brought into the business.
Many of the Ad sites that are listed on 2BAMillionaire will have a Downline Builder. How it works is you essentially join the other sites within it and add your ID or member name to the downline builder. Anyone you refer will them join under you when they join the site with your referral URL.
Joint Venture (JV)
A Joint Venture is an arrangement between two or more parties that agree to use their resources in order to accomplish a specific task.
A landing page is the URL that you would typically land on when they click on your advertisement. The purpose of this page is to get someone to sign up for your product whatever it may be and then they would get redirected to the affiliate site or your own site.
Link Tracking is when you track the number of hits or clicks to a specific URL or site.
The process of disguising an affiliate URL can protect your commissions by making the affiliate ID less visible and at the same time, your link will be more appealing by having a shorter URL.
Multilevel Marketing (MLM)
is a direct form of sales in which independent representatives sell products to an end consumer. The multilevel part of the marketing plan refers to the representative’s ability to recruit other people. As recruits make sales and recruit others, each person above them makes a commission
Passive Income is money that you earn without actively working for it.
A Pre-Sale Page is a landing page that sets your prospect up to buying by providing valuable info.
A PTC (Paid to Click) site allows you to click on ads and in return paid in return in a small amount of money.
For the sake of this site, a promo code is simply a code that you find that will typically get you extra credits toward advertising.
A referral in the Affiliate world is simply someone who signs up for whatever program you are trying to market.
Residual income is money earned not just from the first sale but also every sale from referrals for the time that particular customer exists.
Safelist (Safe Mailer)
A Safelist is typically a site where the members have agreed to receive emails from some or all of the other members. In exchange you will receive credits so that you can send your own emails to the other members.
A Sales Funnel is a process that you take potential customers through from beginning to end.
A Solo Ad is essentially a dedicated advertisement email sent to a list of prospects in order to get them to your funnel or website.
A Splash Page is an introductory webpage used to promote your site. Typically a Spalsh Page is a full Page.
A squeeze page is a landing page to capture opt-in email addresses from potential subscribers.
